Does the job pretty well, scrubbing the strings well from both sides+the frets and fretboard if you push it. Work fine both on my electric and acoustic and reach up pretty easy to the 1st fret. Keep in mind: its actually pull up your strings a little bit while using it so if your nut slots is too shallow it may pop the string out but its not a big deal just keep in mind.
